Russian Tech Week 2018: results

A large conference dedicated to innovative technologies was held in Moscow – Russian Tech Week 2018

The conference was attended by 1,560 people, 180 speakers and 50 exhibitors. The event was organized by the Technocrat event agency. General partners of the event: Moscow Department of Information Technologies, Skolkovo Innovation Center and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

On November 21 and 22, a large conference dedicated to innovative technologies - Russian Tech Week 2018 – was held in the Infospatial Event Hall. The event raised topical issues on the development of such technologies in Russia and in the world as artificial intelligence, neural networks and Big Data, virtual and augmented reality, business analytics, blockchain, financial and educational technologies.

"The key barrier to the introduction of innovative technologies into Russian business now is the lack of a critical mass of specialists who understand the applied possibilities of innovations and ways of their simple implementation," said Oleg Petryashev, CEO of Technocrat.

On November 22, an investment summit was held as part of the RTW conference. Among the guests of honor were Alexander Galitsky, founder of the Almaz Capital venture fund and one of the founders of the Russian information and Internet technology industry, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, one of the founders of the Wimm Bill Dann company (company brands: "J7", "Favorite Garden", "House in the Village", "The Merry Milkman", "Agusha") David Yakobashvili, Investment Director "Mail.Ru Group" Alexey Milevsky.

As part of the pre-party evening, on November 20, organized in an unusual Epic fail dinner format, 5 top managers and founders of large companies: Alexander Galitsky, founder and CEO of the Pay-Me mobile acquiring service, serial entrepreneur Vladimir Kanin, founder and CEO of Roistat, German Gavrilov, founder and CEO director of the international cryptocurrency fund "CryptoBazar", venture investor, partner of the fund "Sun Capital" Alexey Menn, told about their biggest failures in business. The host of the evening was the columnist of the radio station "Business FM" Nadezhda Grosheva.

"Absolutely the right format for business and the community of technology companies – all new technologies on one platform. In the field of blockchain development, the market is switching to real technology implementation in processes. Moscow is among the first to introduce blockchain pilots into existing city services, I told about this at the conference. DIT speakers in the Smart City section also talked about the introduction of new technologies in the city," said Kirill Polyakov, head of the Blockchain product of the Moscow Department of Information Technology (DIT).

On November 23, the seminar "Fundamentals of Digital Transformation for Business" was held at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. After the training, the students were awarded a state certificate of listening to the course.

The participants of the event noted the high level of organization, excellent reports of speakers and raising topical issues related to the development of innovative technologies in Russia and in the world for discussion.
