The fight against aging. New perspectives in medicine

An international conference on aging will be held in MoscowSTRF.ru
On April 8, 2010, Moscow will host the international scientific conference "The Fight against Aging.

New perspectives in medicine". This is reported in the materials of the press service of the French Embassy in Russia.

On the occasion of his visit to Moscow, Professor Luc MONTAGNIER, a French virologist, Nobel Prize laureate, professor at the Pasteur Institute and discoverer of the HIV virus, as well as Dr. Gerard SALAMA, a well-known French gynecologist surgeon, will take part in an international scientific conference held under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Sciences and dedicated to the fight against aging.

In the report "Oxidative stress. Prevention and treatment", Professor Luc Montagnier will share with his Russian colleagues the results of a long-term research program devoted to the cellular theory of aging, oxidative stress, the study of indicators of oxidative stress in the blood, the mechanisms of influence on these processes.

In his report "Presentation of statistical data on research in the field of aging after hormonal treatment in men and women", Dr. Gerard Salama will touch upon issues related to hormonal problems in men and women, from the point of view of premature aging, methods of their treatment and prevention.

The conference is supported by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the International Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the P. K. Anokhin Research Institute of Normal Physiology, the Sechenov MMA and the participation of the French Embassy in Russia, together with the RHANA Medical Corporation.
