Synthetic biology and design of bioengineered devices

"Synthetic biology and design of bioengineered devices"

NanometerOn July 11, 2012, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology hosted a school-conference "Synthetic Biology and the design of bioengineering devices" for leading researchers, researchers, university professors, graduate students and students of universities in the CIS and other countries.

Presentations of reports are posted in the Program section (links to slideshare presentations), links to presentations are on the MIPT website (synbio2012 materials).

The main directions of the school-conference:

  1. Improving engineering biology for the design of living machines
  2. Designing the functionality of industrial microorganisms on an automated control system using a software package of universities in the USA and Europe.
  3. High-performance modeling of components of an industrial biosystem in silico for proteomic design, configuration development, loading and resource of cellular organelles, etc.
  4. Testing and debugging of the characteristics of the designed code in a virtual environment (virtual stand) based on the characteristics of the proteome, metabolome, transcriptome and epigenome.
  5. Synthesis and transfection of the developed genetic code into a model microorganism in vitro.
