Contest of popular science articles "bio/mol/text"-2016

For the sixth time, Biomolecula is holding a competition for the best popular science publication in the field of modern biology. We invite talented popularizers of science to tell us interesting things, draw beautifully or shoot something about biology with talent. This year, nanobiotechnology will be the profile topic; we are also introducing the nomination "Places", which will focus on the best biolabs.

There is nothing more beautiful in the world than knowledge. And there is nothing better than sharing your knowledge with others and talking about the science you are in love with. Biomolecule provides this opportunity for the sixth time. We are once again announcing the Biomoltext contest and invite you to realize your talent by telling about those scientific fields, events, breakthroughs that made the strongest impression on you this year. This year we have more nominations, longer deadlines and a higher bar. We are waiting for your works, venerable authors and inexperienced newcomers living in Russia and outside of it, of any profession, age and citizenship. We are only interested in your talent and erudition, the ability to talk about a complex scientific field in a simple, understandable and attractive way, to show the inner logic and beauty of the structure of the living world. We would like you to possess data from the most advanced edge of science and be able to comprehend them; to be able to present these facts alive; to feel the pulse of living science behind your texts, drawings, cartoons. In general, we expect miracles from you. And that's the only reason we are organizing a competition.

The main topics of the competition are molecular biology and biophysics, biomedicine and bio- and nanotechnology, as well as stories about the best biological research institutions.

Terms of the contest: works are accepted from May 15 to October 1, 2016 (this year we decided to move the deadline, because there are so many works that we barely have time to publish them before the New Year). The results will be published in December 2016.
