Competition for the development of biomedical devices
We inform you about the start of accepting applications for an open project competition
on the development of biomedical devices
The Federal State Autonomous Institution "Russian Foundation for Technological Development" announces the competitive selection of scientific, technical and innovative projects for the development of biomedical devices in order to provide the Fund with financial support for these projects.
The selection of projects is carried out in the form of an open competition. The notice of the tender, as well as the tender documentation, are posted on the Foundation's website in the section "To Applicants".
Legal entities registered on the territory of the Russian Federation, established in the form of a joint-stock company, limited or additional liability companies, with the exception of non-profit organizations, unitary and state-owned enterprises, can participate in the competition.
Within the framework of the competition, projects are being considered to create a biomedical device – an instrument that is a finished device, system, complex, apparatus approved for commodity circulation, implemented as a single commodity unit, used for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, disease prevention and monitoring of human condition, for studying the characteristics of biological objects and conducting biological experiments, as well as to solve the problems of medical and biological practice.
The financial support of the project is carried out on a refundable basis in the form of an interest-free target loan for a period of no more than five years, provided under the terms of a loan agreement concluded with the winners of the competition. The loan granted is of a targeted nature and can be used for research, development and technological work (R&D) aimed at creating a biomedical device, as well as work on the legal protection of intellectual property objects, certification and other necessary measures directly related to the admission of a biomedical device to commodity circulation.
The amount requested from the Financial Support Fund of the project should not exceed 150 million rubles. The total amount of funds allocated to finance projects selected under the terms of the competition is 350 million rubles.
Applications for participation in the Competition are accepted from May 19, 2014 to June 19, 2014. The results of the Competition will be announced on September 16, 2014.
