FIOP accepts applications for the creation of a bioengineering company
The Rusnano Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs has started the procedure of competitive selection of applications within the framework of the thematic lot "Creation of an engineering company in the field of biomedical cell products, gene therapy and biopharmaceuticals".
Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until October 21, 2014. The results will be announced before the end of the 4th quarter of 2014. During this time, all applications will undergo scientific, technical, legal and investment expertise, after which the Selection Committee will determine the winner. The main criterion for winning the application is the confirmed market demand for the project's products. In addition, an important advantage will be the presence of an international engineering partner with technological competencies on the subject of the lot.

The Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs was established in 2010 in accordance with Federal Law No. 211-FZ "On the Reorganization of the Russian Nanotechnology Corporation". The Foundation's goal is to develop innovative infrastructure in the field of nanotechnology, including the implementation of educational and infrastructure programs already launched by Rusnano.
Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science, is the Chairman of the Fund's supreme collegial governing body, the Supervisory Board. According to the Foundation's charter, the competence of the Council, in particular, includes the issues of determining the priorities of the Fund's activities, its strategy and budget. The Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund, which is a collegial management body, is Anatoly Chubais, Chairman of the Management Board of Rusnano Management Company LLC, and Andrey Svinarenko is the General Director of the Fund.
