Presidential Awards for Young Scientists

Acceptance of documents for the award of the President of the Russian Federation
in the field of science and innovation for young scientists in 2014

The Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education begins accepting documents for the 2014 Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists.

Submissions for the Presidential Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists and the materials attached to them are sent to the Presidential Council for Science and Education by registered mail (with an inventory of attachments) at:

The deadline for accepting documents expires on November 14, 2014.

Requirements for the registration of documents and materials submitted for the award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists

1. These Requirements are developed in accordance with the Regulations on the Award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation, approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated July 30, 2008 No. 1144 "On the Award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists" (hereinafter – the Regulations).

2. A person or a scientist (scientific, scientific and technical) council, as well as a council of young scientists and specialists who, in accordance with paragraph 8 of the Regulation, have the right to nominate a candidate (candidates) for the Presidential Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists (hereinafter referred to as the President's Award), send to the Council To the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education, a notarized or notarized representation, which specifies:

a) surname, first name and patronymic (also in English), date and place of birth, address of residence, contact phone numbers, citizenship, place of work, position, academic degree, academic title, honorary title (if any) of the applicant. The age of the applicant must not exceed 35 full years on the date of nomination. The date of nomination is the date of signing of the submission (if the candidate(s) are nominated by the scientific (scientific, scientific and technical) council, or the council of young scientists and specialists, the date of nomination is the date of the meeting of the council at which the nomination(s) took place;

b) areas of scientific knowledge of works corresponding to scientific specialties provided for by the Nomenclature of specialties of scientific workers in force at the time of submission;

c) a summary of the applicant's contribution to the development of domestic science and innovation, taking into account the criteria provided for in paragraph 2 of the Regulation, containing a summary of the essence of scientific achievements, or other results of his scientific or innovative activities that significantly enriched domestic science, had a significant impact on the development of scientific and technological progress, the economy and the social sphere, ending with a generalizing the wording stating for which achievements in the field of science and innovation it is proposed to award the prize;

d) information about the work performed or carried out by the applicant(s) within the framework of government contracts, grants, contracts with Russian and foreign scientific organizations and foundations;

e) information on the applicant's availability of prizes, prizes and other awards, indicating recognition of his scientific or other creative achievements, which include awards of the Russian Federation, awards and prizes of foreign states, international awards, awards and prizes;

f) a list of attached materials.

3. If, in accordance with paragraph 6 of the Regulations, a team of applicants (no more than three people) is nominated for the Presidential Prize, the submission shall indicate the information provided for in paragraph 2 of these Requirements about each applicant, about his personal contribution to the overall results of scientific research, the development of samples of new equipment and technologies, as well as information about the availability of each from applicants for prizes, prizes and other awards.

4. If the submission is signed by an individual who has the right to nominate a candidate (candidates) for the award, his surname, first name and patronymic, date and place of birth, address of residence, citizenship, place of work or occupation, laureate, academic and (or) honorary title, contact phone numbers are indicated in the submission, and also attached is a copy of the document confirming that this person has the right to nominate for the award.

5. If a candidate (candidates) is nominated (are nominated) by the scientific (scientific, scientific and technical) council, or the council of young scientists and specialists, the minutes (extract from the minutes) of the meeting of the relevant council with the decision on the nomination (candidates) for the award, as well as the full contact details of the organization are attached to the submission and the chairman of the council (or the person who signed the protocol).

6. The recommended presentation volume is up to 7 pages. The submission is accompanied by published scientific papers, other documents confirming the authorship of design, technical developments, technological processes and other innovative achievements, for the creation of which their author (a team of authors) is nominated for the award of the President of the Russian Federation. In addition to the paper version of the materials, it is necessary to submit electronic versions of the submission, a list of attached materials, articles, patents, scientific and technical reports, etc. of the author on this topic, as well as a complete list of scientific publications and patents of the author.

7. All documents and materials of the person or the relevant council nominating a candidate for the award of the President of the Russian Federation shall be submitted in one copy to the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education.

8. Submissions that do not meet these Requirements and Regulations will not be accepted for consideration. Submissions are also not accepted:

a) received after the deadline for accepting documents established by the official Notification of acceptance of documents for the award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists (the date of admission is the day of its admission to the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation);

b) without documents confirming the right of nomination (including minutes of council meetings);

c) from the branches of the organization without coordination with its parent structure.

9. Submissions, as well as the materials attached to them, are not subject to return.

The text of the Regulations on the Award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for Young Scientists, approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1144 of July 30, 2008, as well as additional materials on the preparation of documents for the award (including an approximate submission form) are posted on the website youngscience.ru in the section "Awards and grants".
