The Art of Science
The All–Russian open non-profit project "The Art of Science - 2010" announces the start of accepting works for the scientific photography competition and invites you to participate in the project events.
"The Art of Science – 2010" is the first large–scale project in Russia in the science art format, designed to show the beauty of science to the whole world, to prove that science and art are inseparable from each other. The project will include: a scientific photography contest, a quiz, excursions for schoolchildren to scientific laboratories, a series of lectures and seminars on photography, exhibitions and other events.
As part of the scientific photography contest "The Art of Science – 2010", winners will be selected in the following categories: microcosm, living science, high technology, people in science, young scientist. The winner for the audience award will be determined by voting on the website. The best works will be included in the exhibition of the competition. The jury of the competition included experts from science, art, leading photographic publications, as well as Deputy Minister of Education and Science – A.V. Khlunov.
Photography seminars are designed to attract the attention of a wide audience to the art of artistic and scientific photography, reportage and portrait photography, and the history of photography. Within the framework of the seminars, everyone will be able to communicate with professionals in the field of photography, recognized experts in Russia and abroad.
The All–Russian open non-profit project "The Art of Science - 2010" is organized by the publication "Science and Technology of Russia – STRF.ru ", by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, with the support of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The project was created on the basis of the successful scientific photography contest "Science is beautiful!", which was first held in Moscow in 2008.
