Training at the Institute of Bioinformatics
Competitive selection for training according to the programs of the Institute of Bioinformatics in the 2020/21 academic year
The Institute of Bioinformatics invites students, undergraduates and postgraduates of mathematical, technical and biological specialties to study under the programs of the Institute of Bioinformatics in the 2020/21 academic year.
The training is carried out in two directions:
- bioinformatics for biologists
- algorithmic bioinformatics for computer scientists and mathematicians.
The training includes lectures, seminars, practical training and work on scientific projects. During the academic year, you can take part in excursions to biotechnological laboratories, a hackathon and a summer internship. Students will take classes in molecular biology and phylogenetics, statistics, algorithms and machine learning, programming in Python and R, as well as regular discussions of scientific articles and workshops on bioinformatics.
For students, undergraduates and postgraduates of the first year of full–time study - free of charge. Upon successful completion of the annual program, a certificate of professional retraining of the Institute of Bioinformatics is issued.
To participate in the competitive selection , you need:
- fill out the questionnaire by February 22, 2020
- take an introductory online course until March 1, 2020
- solve online and offline tests in March 2020
- get an interview in April 2020.
The Institute of Bioinformatics is a non–profit organization that trains highly qualified specialists in the field of bioinformatics and popularizes bioinformatics knowledge in Russia.
