Young scientists mothers will be helped financially

Grants 2014 for women researchers (Germany)

The Christiane Nusslein-Volhard Foundation (ChristineNusslein-Volhard-Stiftung) provides grants to young women graduate students and PhD candidates with young children working on a dissertation or a postdoctoral program in natural sciences and medicine at universities or research institutes in Germany.

Women of any nationality and citizenship can apply for the grant, whose research is associated with the need for daily presence in the laboratory (experimenters). The amount of the grant – from 200 to 400 euros per month is intended to solve everyday problems related to the presence of a child (payment for babysitting services, purchase of household appliances, etc.). All other expenses of the scholarship holder must be secured by a contract or scholarship.

The duration of financing is 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Applications made in accordance with the form on the Foundation's website are accepted until December 31, 2013.
