In Japan, an examination of the most common drugs for restoring lost hair has been carried out
AMI-TASSMillions of men around the world are worried about hair loss, and Japanese representatives of the strong half of humanity are no exception.

Nowadays, there are many ways to prevent the loss of precious hair or even return it, but are all of them effective? Experts from the Japanese Association of Dermatologists decided to get an answer to this question.

A group of 10 scientists took for examination 10 of the most common methods and drugs for restoring lost hair in the Land of the Rising Sun. And, according to the results of their analyses, only three out of ten research subjects can be recommended for use. Two drugs received an excellent rating from Japanese specialists – this is an internal medicine containing finasteride and an ointment containing minoxidil.

(From the editors:
They are strange, these Japanese scientists... Yes, clinical studies have shown that taking 1 mg of finasteride daily stopped hair loss in 86% of men. Even the growth of new hair was observed in 65%. BUT!
Finasteride crudely hits male sex hormones. With daily intake of finasteride, the level of dihydrotestosterone decreases by 60%. Potency, however, does not suffer in all patients, and after stopping taking, they say, it recovers ...)

So popular in recent years, the method of hair transplantation from other parts of the human body was satisfied with the "four". A wide range of medicines based on a large number of "ingredients" earned three points – Japanese scientists considered that the high concentration of various pharmaceutical compounds in one drug only hinders the treatment process: "Quality is important, not quantity," the doctors noted. But the folk remedies that the people of Japan have used from time immemorial, have received an assessment of "failure" from the Association of Dermatologists. Roots, medicinal herbs and life–giving decoctions - all these "grandmother's recipes" did not impress pragmatic scientists, who strongly do not recommend using these "remnants of the Stone Age". But the method of transplanting artificial hair created from special synthetic fibers was subjected to an even greater attack by doctors. According to scientists, such a procedure threatens with negative consequences for the body, up to cancer.

Representatives of the association conducted a similar study in order to help the suffering to understand the variety of drugs and remedies for baldness, which now abounds in the Japanese drug market. After all, for many men, the problem of hair loss is extremely urgent and can even lead to serious mental disorders. But for some negligent pharmacists, someone else's grief has become the subject of good earnings, and as a result, dozens of funds go on sale every year, promising to return their precious hair to men, but they turn out to be completely unsuitable for verification. In 2009, the Ministry of Health of Japan received over 150 complaints related to the negative consequences after the use of certain medicines against baldness. This figure is almost 3 times higher than the same figure for 2005.
