The magazine "Around the World" will hold a session of homeopathic magic with exposure

On November 30, at 19:30, the magazine "Around the World" together with the Polytechnic Museum will hold a lecture "Homeopathy. Judgment Day", timed to coincide with the court session in the case of homeopaths against the magazine.

In the format of short 15-minute lectures, the experts of the journal will talk about the scientific view of the homeopathic method:

• Alexander Panchin, Candidate of Biological Sciences, winner of the "Educator" award, will talk about why even smart people easily fall for the bait of charlatans;
• Alexey Vodovozov, a therapist of the highest category, will read excerpts from S. Hahnemann's Organon, the "holy book" of homeopathy, and will tell about the contradictions of this book, as well as offer his version of the origin of homeopathy;
• Asya Kazantseva, a scientific journalist, winner of the Enlightener Award and author of a "defendant" article in the magazine "Around the World", will give examples from homeopathic practice. What medicine should I prescribe for a child if he draws octopuses? And what does the moonlight drug help from?
• Vasily Vlasov, MD, HSE Professor, President of the Society of Evidence-Based Medicine Specialists, will answer the main argument of homeopaths "and helps people" and explain why the positive effect of taking homeopathic remedies is nothing more than an illusion.

The "National Council for Homeopathy" sued the magazine "Around the World". The reason for the lawsuit against the magazine was an article in which the author, Asya Kazantseva, compared the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines with placebo. Now representatives of the "National Council for Homeopathy" demand to publish an article in the journal-a refutation of Kazantseva's conclusions. The consideration of the case on the merits will take place on November 30 in the Arbitration Court of Moscow.

According to the representatives of the magazine, the program of the event will include a homeopathic buffet, where you can drink, and then legally get behind the wheel.
