The man was once again crossed with a spider

The Insect World
From July 5, the fourth part of the movie about the eight-legged superhero will be releasedArseniy Dezhurov, "Vzglyad"

Spiders are the subject of constant attention of American cinema.

Just as circus performers will not leave the arena before they perform the planned number, so Hollywood screenwriters will not calm down until the topic in their paws is sucked to the drop. The current "Spider-Man" is the fourth edition of a fantastic story embodied in a movie.

An attempt to theorize on the topic of whether it is impossible to escape from official and family responsibility by turning into a huge insect was undertaken at the beginning of the last century by F. Kafka. He convincingly proved that the transformation of a person into a beetle, although it changes the quality of everyday problems, does not reduce their number. It would seem that the topic has been exhausted, but there is a biological aspect that forces cultural figures to continue their research. The fact is that spiders, because of their purely eight-legged and multi-eyed, are not insects, which creates an incredible scope for interpretation. Including in the movies.

The spiritual drama of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) grows out of an event that the writers of outdated versions did not attach importance to. "There are still so many facets in the Spider-Man story that were not available to the viewer. The loss of his parents became a very difficult event in Peter's life, and it was interesting for me to see the consequences of this event," says director Mark Webb responsibly (undoubtedly a seasoned man).

Psychologists will pay attention to a certain curvature of the gender axis in the character of the hero, the predominant feature of which is longing for his father. Suffering for a parent who was lost fifteen years ago is crowding a young breast, at times Peter Parker's confusion is so impressive that we forget – because by the laws of physiology, a young man should have a mother. The figure of the mother does not occupy any serious place in the mythology of Spider-Man. Is it true? Yes, quite. People are not like people – there are mice under each roof. Here in the society of spiders, everything is predictable: "Son," any spider will say to an older son, "your father died heroically saving your life. During pregnancy, I ate it because of a protein deficiency. My grief is inconsolable..."

Americans are active people: neither the time nor the budget framework allowed the gloomy picture of youthful torment to be widely illuminated, so psychology skipped through the film at a sprint pace, leaving bold marks of its stay in some places. The loneliness of the hero is emphasized by the hostile attitude of his peers towards him. For the sake of brevity, this hostile attitude is embodied in the alpha male of the St. Petersburg class - an impudent bully. So that we have no doubt that this is a negative hero, the screenwriters forced him to torment the child in front of a cowardly crowd. Peter (so that everyone quickly understands that he is a positive hero) immediately stands up, for which he receives (for emphasis rejection) a blow in the face and a series of blows in the stomach. So that we do not think that this is so, children's fuss, blows are accompanied by expressive voice acting. The sound of a blow to the solar plexus, perhaps, is the fall of the refrigerator into the quagmire from a four-meter height processed on the equalizer. The blow to the young man's face, judging by the sound, was supposed to be through – Peter Parker's brain was supposed to fly out through a hole in the back of his head.

Simply put, no one understands the young Spider-Man, his mind, of course, is exhausted. And everyone is just waiting for the chance to express it in the most painful way.

Even a genetically modified scientific worker, bending a multi-toothed mouth over the defeated (temporarily) hero, did not come up with anything more original than teasing an orphan: "Poor Peter Parker! He doesn't have a daddy, he doesn't have a mommy, he's the only one in the whole world!.. There is no one to intercede for him, there is no one to save..." – for which he immediately received heroic blows.

The intrigue of the film is complicated by Peter's not immediately awakened feeling for the excellent student. In general, spiders are indifferent to women of our biological species. Women treat spiders with undisguised coldness. Usually, you can find out about the meeting of a woman and a spider by the characteristic screeching and blows of a broom on the wall. Peter Parker, being only partly a spider (he was a senior scientific worker according to his dad), focuses male attention on Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) – the girl-friend of an enemy and a beauty. But the main point of her attractiveness is that she works as an intern at the Research Institute of Genetics (Oscorp) under the guidance of senior researcher Connors (Rhys Evans) – a former friend for the elder Parker and a future lizard for the younger.

A genetically transformed schoolboy and an overdose of the SNC lizard genome will come together in a battle not to the stomach, but to the death. The fact is that Connors, when he lets a lizard serum through his vein, loses control of himself – turns into a giant lizard and longs to turn the whole of New York into a terrarium (with good intentions). Not knowing the measure of pleasure, Connors pours so much lizard essence into his veins that even his clothes dissolve (sorry for the details). However, later, when Connors "lets go", his human form returns to him, and with it decency – a better white coat grows over his skin as if nothing had happened – that's truly a miracle of genetic engineering!

So, we decided to fill the stormy action with subtle experiences, bitter thoughts, and consistently expand the biography of a superhero, whose formation is determined by the dramatic circumstances of childhood loss. The leisurely literature of the XIX century left several unreadable masterpieces of similar subjects. Most often these are four-volume books, the name of which includes the word "family". But cinema rarely succeeded in such projects.

The film is naive and simple-minded. Judging by the fact that the characters in the frame do not undress, the addressee of the film (at least in the USA) is a youth audience under 21. But not only that. The audience of the film is all Americans. After all, for us, Spider-Man is simply one of many Hollywood fantasies. For an American, this is a man for all people and a spider for all spiders!

He is already many years old – he appeared for the first time in 1962 and was renamed the Amazing Spider-Man out of admiration (apparently to distinguish him from others). The lizard was invented a year later, Gwaine was drawn in the thirty-first issue of the comic in 1965. How many of them there were – drawn, cartoon, black-and-white and colored – and always loved by Americans! Only the producer of the "New Spider-Man" Avi Arad has released "Spider-Man", "Spider-Man – 2" and "Spider-Man: a Look in the Reflection" before. We need to watch this movie if we want to understand the mysterious American soul with its myths and heroes, to understand what they found in them – in these myths, in these heroes...

And what did they find in these myths, in these heroes?..
