A perpetual motion machine is being riveted in Skolkovo
According to the portal of the Innovation Center, on October 25 at the World Trade Center in Moscow, "world-renowned scientists from 9 countries, including two Nobel laureates, will discuss real projects and technologies that can blow up the scientific community of the planet during a moderated discussion."
They will be brought together not only by the 10th anniversary of the first presentation of the Global Energy Prize by the President of Russia, but also "one of the scientific mysteries of our time is the possibility of creating a perpetual motion machine, a unique power plant with an efficiency of more than 100%."
The authors of the message were not confused by the fact that the expression "more than 100%" is not just mathematically absurd, but, as a rule, is peculiar to persons who are not burdened with intelligence. And the anti-scientific "riddle" of the perpetual motion machine is so mysterious to them that they repeated this nonsense several more times.
For some reason, the event itself is called a "summit", and the theme of the "energy dialogue" is formulated as: "Perpetual Motion: from science fiction to the innovation of the century".
The moderator of the discussion will be one of the top managers of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. The group of Western experts is headed by Albert Gore, ex-Vice President of the United States and a passionate fighter for ecology in general, and reasonable energy consumption in particular. Well, the one who was caught by the nonprofit research organization Tennessee Center for Policy Research that his house in Nashville consumes 20 times more energy than the house of the average American family.
Albert Gore was called a "hypocrite and a deceiver," after which he promptly responded to criticism, promised to be more modest, installed solar panels and screwed in energy-saving light bulbs. However, according to the results of the following year, the energy consumption of the nest increased by more than 10%. There in Skolkovo for the third year some kind of energy-efficient "miracle house" is being built. Gore will appreciate it.
The culmination of the announcement is another hymn to the perpetual motion machine, a thrashing of classical science and a fad about 100%: "Until recently, classical science denied the very possibility of creating a "perpetual motion machine", this idea was the lot of science fiction writers. "Impossible," physicists have been saying for the last century. "It is possible with the help of biotechnologies," say young innovators, authors of a number of projects to create a power plant with an efficiency of more than 100%."
Again, this is the portal of Skolkovo, the "innovative city of the future".
Nothing surprising for a formally secular state that is rapidly sinking into obscurantism. Where a member of parliament can easily declare that he has "serious questions" about Darwin's theory, and "it makes sense to introduce schoolchildren to different theories of human origin, including those having a religious origin."
"Religious theory" is our way. And "different theories", besides evolutionary and divine creation, are obviously an alien experiment or a viral mutation of dolphins.
The end of the announcement is a fitting quote. "We are well aware of the importance of such truly revolutionary solutions. They can lead to a real breakthrough in ensuring the energy security of all mankind, improve the well–being of millions of people, open up new prospects in space exploration and the implementation of other large-scale programs and projects," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the Global Energy Prize laureates in 2012.
Befitting and in every sense deserved.
