Forbes announces a new startup competition
Forbes Startup Contest 2012: terms of participation
Startups that were created no earlier than September 1, 2011, but have already passed the stage of discussion and testing of an idea can take part in the Forbes competition: a startup should already have a prototype of a technology, a product, or the fact of the first sale, if we are talking about services. There are no restrictions on the field of activity.
In order to take part in the competition, you need to perform only three actions:
- Shoot and post on YouTube a video telling about the team and the project – in any form, up to 3 minutes.
- Post a presentation of your project on the Slideshare service – up to 7 slides. In the presentation, it is mandatory to indicate what problem the project solves, who your consumer is and who your competitors are.
- Send a request to startup2012@forbes.ru in the following form:
- The name of the project.
- The essence of the project is in one sentence.
- Project leader.
- Link to the video posted on YouTube.
- Link to the presentation posted on Slideshare.
Applications are accepted until October 20, 2012. After that, a jury consisting of well-known entrepreneurs and consultants will determine 10 semi-finalists.
From November 1 to June 1, semi-finalists will be able to blog on the website Forbes.ru – to tell readers about the development of your project, about problems and achievements.
The jury will determine the winners of the competition, taking into account the dynamics of the project development during the competition and the blogging activity of the participants.
The results of the competition will be announced on June 10.
