New scientific journal: Asta Naturae

ID "Park-media" launched the scientific journal Acta NaturaeSTRF.ru
The first issue of Acta Naturae, a new journal on research in the field of living systems and biotechnologies, has been published.

The journal aims to become a pioneer in the field of coverage of biotechnology issues as the basis of an innovative economy. The publication claims to be a leading position in the international market of scientific media and plans to become a leader among scientific journals for a professional audience.

Acta Naturae is a fundamentally new scientific journal that has no analogues in Russia. The main feature of the publication is an interdisciplinary approach, and this, in our opinion, is a very important component of editorial policy, because in order to develop biotechnologies at the modern level, it is necessary to ensure the interaction of specialists working in many branches of science – medicine, biology, physics, chemistry, computer science. Meanwhile, breakthrough research in these branches of science is already going on by itself at the junction of different branches of knowledge.

"Living systems" or life science, the science of living, is a priority direction for the development of science and technology in many countries of the world. Many experts believe that it is "living systems" that will become the basis for a new technological revolution, the basis for the formation of a new technological order. The growth rates of biotechnologies already allow us to consider them one of the key elements of the national economies of the leading countries of the world and an important factor in the development of the economies of some developing countries (China, India, Brazil).

Fortunately, Russia had a very strong foundation in the field of living systems and today research in many areas of biotechnology continues at a very high level. The direction of "Living Systems" is a priority and is supported within the framework of the Federal target program "Research and development in priority areas of development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2007-2012".

The founders of Acta Naturae, the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Park-Media LLC, believe that the publication will be interesting not only to authors of works in the field of fundamental science and specialists whose research in the field of biotechnology has a pronounced applied orientation, but also a fairly broad professional the audience includes representatives of innovative commercial organizations, potential investors, representatives of government authorities who form the state innovation policy in the relevant industries.

The strength of Acta Naturae is the team of the scientific journal, which was formed by experts, recognized authorities in the scientific community. The chairman of the editorial Board of the journal was Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Anatoly Ivanovich Grigoriev; the editors–in-chief are Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Gabibovich Gabibov and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Nikolaevich Kochetkov.

"Perhaps we will be able to create a platform for discussion on topical aspects of the development of the scientific process in Russia," hopes Academician Grigoriev, editor–in-chief of the journal. – We are aware that the "life sciences" are closely intertwined with the applied aspects of biopharmaceuticals and we hope that the lack of awareness of domestic researchers in this area will be compensated by the efforts of the publication."

Vladimir Sychev, the editor-in-chief of Acta Naturae, emphasizes the importance of an interdisciplinary approach and the publication in one publication of reports on the results of research on the widest range of branches of science and technology that make up the biotechnology industry: "Biotech makes a significant contribution to the economy of developed countries, and it is very important to have a periodical in Russia that would cover the development from different sides life sciences and innovation in this field".

On the pages of the publication, you can read brief messages (so-called letters) about the most interesting works in the field of living systems – these reports will be prepared on the basis of peer review; scientific reviews prepared by invited foreign and domestic authors and describing the prospects for the development of various areas of the living systems industry in Russia and in the world. A large section of the magazine – "Forum" – offers the reader analytical and problematic articles on the commercialization of technologies, the formation of the market of innovative services and technologies within the framework of the priority direction "Living Systems".

According to Evgenia Pustovalova, Director of Strategic Development of the journal Acta Naturae, the magazine is ready to provide interesting offers for advertisers.
