Video: Studying anatomy with HoloLens glasses

Microsoft has developed HoloLens technology, the use of which allows the user to see and even "touch" virtual objects represented by holograms. The management of Case Western Reserve University announced the conclusion of an agreement with Microsoft. Now medical students studying at the university will be able to study human anatomy using HoloLens.

The kit includes special glasses with a built-in video camera and sensors. This allows the device to project holograms in the real world. In the event that we are talking about training future doctors, HoloLens can project various organs, for example, a heart that will "beat". Organs can be viewed in the context, and the whole body can be divided into separate organ systems and considered separately. Explanatory inscriptions may be placed next to the organs.

You can evaluate the technology by watching the video "Microsoft HoloLens: Partner Spotlight with Case Western Reserve University". It is noteworthy that in the frames where the holograms are shown through the user's eyes, the field of view of the device is visible for the first time: it is not very large, which somewhat upset gamers, but it is enough for educational tasks.
