Call the doctor!

Doctor search service DocDoc has opened a branch in St. Petersburg

The doctor search service DocDoc has opened its first branch in St. Petersburg, where it plans to become in 2013 the only Internet resource with the maximum amount of information about specialist doctors and major medical centers.

At the opening of the branch, the portal DOCDOC used its own IT platform and gathered a database of more than 200 doctors in the most popular specialties - therapists, gynecologists, gastroenterologists, surgeons, ophthalmologists, etc.

In 3 months, this database will contain more than 1,000 questionnaires of doctors, – the founders of the portal believe, based on their own experience in Moscow.

"Our decision to start adapting the portal for the regions from St. Petersburg is due to the fact that it is the recognized second capital and the second largest market for medical services in Russia after Moscow," said Dmitry Vasilkov, General Director of the DocDoc service. He added that during the first month of operation, the portal expects to attract about 300 patients, and in the near future to reach its current Moscow level: more than 2,000 patient requests per month. D. Vasilkov believes that the developments obtained by the portal during the year of operation in the Moscow market will allow achieving such results in 3-4 months. Thus, in 2013, the portal plans to become the only resource in St. Petersburg, where the maximum number of specialist doctors from the main clinics of the city and the region will be collected.

"This is a significant event for our service. We decided to make a gift to the residents of St. Petersburg for the New Year, and to ourselves for the portal's birthday, which is celebrated on December 28," said Dmitry Petrukhin, managing partner and inspirer of DocDoc. He noted that the choice of the first city to create a branch network was not accidental. "Residents of the Northern Capital often contacted our Moscow office with requests to make an appointment with Moscow doctors and questions about whether our portal plans to open such a service in St. Petersburg." Now residents of St. Petersburg will be able to make an appointment through the portal to doctors themselves, choosing them according to the specified parameters: experience, price, convenient location of the clinic and reviews of patients who visited them at the reception. The service is available by e-mail: The portal has big plans for expansion into the regions. Over the next two years, it is planned to open about 10 branches in Russian cities, of which at least 5 will be opened next year. Next, DocDoc will open one representative office in each region of Russia, so that residents of the most remote settlements can use the services of the service. In the next few years, the portal plans to become the largest service for the selection and appointment of doctors throughout the country.

Portal DocDoc.ru (Medservice LLC) provides services for the selection of doctors from clinics in Moscow and the region. This is a social project that started on December 28, 2012. At the moment, the portal database has more than 2,000 questionnaires of doctors from 77 clinics. The main purpose of the service is to make the work of doctors and clinics more transparent for consumers, as well as to simplify the process of making a patient's appointment with a selected specialist. The DocDoc portal has a rating system for doctors, in accordance with their education, work experience and other components. When choosing a doctor, patients are guided by the professional rating of a specialist, and by the reviews of people who have already visited the doctor. This allows you to increase the flow of patients to clinics, and, accordingly, the number of unique reviews left by clients following the results of the reception.
