"Gym will not be needed": endocrinologist named the top 7 "lazy" ways to lose weight

Food is much more important for weight loss than exercise. Therefore, you can lose a few kilograms without even going to the gym and without exhausting yourself with serious exertion. Zuhra Pavlova, an endocrinologist at the MSU clinic, told us what you need to do to get in shape.

"Of course, you can't get a healthy body without exercise, but even while in a New Year's slumber, you can take a few steps to lose a little weight. Or at least gain less," says Pavlova.

And you don't have to starve yourself to do it.

Here are a few simple secrets:

1. Drink warm, unsweetened beverages. This not only warms you up in the cold season, but also helps to control your appetite and "moisturize" the body. More accurately, restore the volume of fluid in the body.

However, we all need to break the vicious connection between "drink tea" and "eat something for tea".

Here it is better to take an example from the Chinese, who constantly drink not even tea, but just hot water. It is very useful.

2. Eat hot soup. This is an effective way to lose weight, because liquid hot food stimulates the production of the satiety hormone cholecystokinin and not only it. At least one more hormone - glucagon-like peptide, which is now widely used in the world to treat obesity (sensational shots for weight loss - this is the same substance), also significantly reduces the activity of the hunger center. The best soup for thinners - low-fat, rich in vegetables.

3. Eat a protein breakfast. Protein is the most important component of a healthy diet and weight loss. It helps you get full faster and stay satiated longer, which reduces the desire to snack between meals. It can be Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, chicken breast, fish (salmon), etc.

4. Choose vegetables that are rich in fiber. Fiber is another useful element for weight loss. It improves digestion, cleanses the intestines, reduces cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and increases the volume of food without adding calories. Seasonal vegetables are ideal: in winter it is sauerkraut, other types of cabbage, pumpkin. About root vegetables (potatoes, beets, carrots) you should remember that they contain a lot of sugar, respectively, they should not be eaten in the evening.

5. Sleep at least 7 hours a day. If you get less, you disrupt the hormones that control appetite, mood and energy. You become more hungry, irritable and lazy.

6. Eat slowly and thoughtfully. If you eat too fast, you don't have time to feel the satiety signals from your body, and you overeat. If you eat while distracted by the TV, phone, or computer, you don't enjoy eating, and you want more. So eat slowly, chew well, and savor every bite. When food is thoroughly chewed, satiety hormones have time to produce, and from thoroughly chewed food, the body will be able to absorb more nutrients.

7. Eat from small plates. If you eat from large plates, you tend to pour more food than you need and eat it all so you don't throw it away. If you eat from small plates, you automatically reduce portions, and feel full with less food.

And one more tip, especially for those with a sweet tooth: if you want something sweet, eat a small slice of dark chocolate, at least 70 percent cocoa.

"These lazy ways don't require you to make any sacrifices or grueling workouts, just small changes in your lifestyle and diet. Try them and you will be surprised how easy and pleasant it is to lose weight," Zuhra Pavlova concluded.
