Collective Use Centers of the First MGMU

The first Honey has entered itself into the Strategy of development of medical science

mma.ruThe idea of the Center for Collective Use, created on the basis of the new Blood Center of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, is inscribed in the Strategy for the Development of Medical Science until 2025.

At a meeting with the heads of the leading scientific departments of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, with the participation of the Minister of Health of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Veronika Skvortsova, Rector of the University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Peter Glybochko noted:

– The Blood Center is located in a specially constructed four-storey building and is equipped with the latest transfusion equipment. The technical capabilities and qualifications of the staff of the new Center at the First Honey significantly exceed the main tasks of donation. That is why it was decided to create a Center for collective use on its basis, where other departments of the university will be able to conduct their scientific research using the existing equipment.

Pyotr Vitalievich suggested using the capabilities of the University Blood Center by Moscow and federal medical institutions, up to the Central Clinical Hospital. The Minister of Health considered such a proposal timely and promising.

There are 3 such Centers for collective use at the university: at the Transfusion Medicine Blood Center, Pharmaceutical at the Research Institute of Pharmacy and Regenerative Medicine on the basis of the Biomedical Research Department of the Research Institute of Molecular Medicine. In addition, 25 scientific and educational clinical centers of various subjects have appeared at the university.

– It is in the development of "breakthrough" areas that we see opportunities for accelerated advancement of university science, – said the rector of the First Sechenov Moscow State Medical University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Peter Glybochko at the meeting. – We are already forming research groups for specific problems, allocating grants to them, assigning very decent salaries at the expense of extra-budgetary funds, sending them for internships abroad. But in return, we demand a specific result in a specific time frame. So far, we do not have the means to equip each clinic and research institute for our requests. But the concentration of opportunities in collective use centers will give us both a technological base and a full load of expensive equipment.

This innovation was included in the recently adopted Strategy for the Development of Medical Science until 2025.
