Everyone can have potatoes!

Recently, food manufacturers have been paying more and more attention to the issue of food intolerance and are trying to meet the needs of consumers who are forced to follow diets that do not contain lactose, gluten (gluten), egg white, soy, peanuts, etc. Such diets are necessary for people suffering from intolerance to one or another component of food, accompanied, as a rule, by irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, eczema and general poor health.

Specialists of YorkTest, a company that produces kits for testing for food intolerance at home, processed data on 8000 patients who used the tests in 2007. In less than 1% of patients, acute potato intolerance was proven.

Other well-tolerated foods identified by the researchers include: grapefruits (cause food allergies in 0.44% of cases), apricots (0.61%), apples (0.61%), barley (0.65%) and lemons (0.68%).

According to the company, intolerance to a number of products is less common than intolerance to potatoes, but this indicator would increase significantly if they were consumed in the same amount as the average person consumes potatoes.
