Very soon, old-style cigarettes on store shelves will replace packs with pictures that demonstrate the effects of smoking.
The order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of May 5, 2012 came into force. It is he who obliges to place frightening pictures on cigarette packs in Russia. At the same time, it prohibits the release of old packs.

Scary pictures with explanatory inscriptions will take up half of the back of the pack. The inscription "Smoking kills" will remain on the front side of the package.
12 pictures for cigarette packs in Russia have already been approved. They remind that tobacco causes premature skin aging, oncological diseases, periodontal disease, throat cancer, impotence, etc. Experts have found out that if a person smokes a pack a day, then in a year he will see these pictures seven thousand times.
