Investing in exoskeletons

VEB Innovations invests 70 million in the development of an exoskeleton for children

VEB Innovations is investing 70 million rubles in the development of an exoskeleton for children and adolescents, which the ExoaThlet company is engaged in, and also plans to enter the company's capital, Kirill Bulatov, the company's CEO, told RIA Novosti.

VEB Innovations plans to provide ExoaThlet with a convertible loan in the amount of 70 million rubles in the second quarter of 2018 for the development of a project to develop an exoskeleton for the rehabilitation of people of small stature, including children and adolescents with limited mobility of the lower extremities. We are also negotiating to join the company's capital," Bulatov said. According to him, VEB Innovations will also help ExoAtlet in further promotion in foreign markets and plan to provide similar support on a systematic basis to other Russian high-tech companies.

The ExoaThlet company, in turn, noted that they were lucky to find a reliable partner in South Korea and attract investments for development in Europe, America and Asia.

"Our immediate plans are to open a company in Luxembourg, the launch of the certification process, the search for clinical partners and the study of grant support opportunities in terms of clinical research and scientific medical research with the participation of European clinics," the company added.
