Parents gave their 5-year-old son's organs to save strangers

Organs of five-year-old who died suddenly are given 'with love' to four othersIn Britain, the parents of a 5-year-old boy named Luca Giovannini, having learned from doctors that there was no hope anymore, gave their son's organs to four people who needed transplantation.
After his death, little Luka saved the lives of a 2-year-old girl and a boy, a 35-year-old mother of two children and a 34-year-old man.
"We lovingly sent Luke's organs to all these people, especially the little girl, who, as we were told, had a few days to live. Now they expect her to leave the hospital on Friday and be home for Christmas," said Luke's mother.
Little Luka died mysteriously. He became ill on the morning of November 14th. The boy died the next day at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
Doctors are still not sure what exactly took Luke's life. It is assumed that the swelling of the boy's brain was caused by the Epstein-Barr virus.
"One week we were thinking about buying Luka a Christmas present, the next week we were looking for a tombstone for him," the baby's father said.
