Meeting of the working group "Medical Equipment and pharmaceuticals" dedicated to the production of medical devices for cardiac surgery in Russia
i-Russia.ruOn February 8, 2011, a meeting of the working group on medical equipment and pharmaceuticals of the Commission for Modernization and Technological Development of the Russian Economy was held.

The next meeting of the working group on medical technology and pharmaceuticals was held in one of the most authoritative medical institutions of the country - the Center for Cardiovascular Surgery named after Bakuleva.

Every year, a team of doctors led by Academician L.A. Bokeria saves thousands of lives of both adults and young patients. The agenda of the meeting was not accidental either - the main issue was the development of the production of medical devices for cardiac surgery in the country. The projects of three innovative companies - Neokor, Cardioinvest, Medinj, developing and producing mechanical and biological 2- and 3-leaf heart valves were considered.

During the discussion, the meeting participants noted the high level of professionalism of the applicants, as well as the need to develop the entire range of products for cardiovascular surgery - from intravascular stents to heart valves.

That is why it was decided to support all three projects, the development of which will directly affect the provision of this type (cardiovascular surgery) of high-tech medical care in the country. The Working Group proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Health and Social Development structure their efforts to support domestic manufacturers of products for cardiovascular surgery using available funds and resources.
