Russian scientists have learned to neutralize coronavirus with nanoparticles
Scientists of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI have learned to create silicon nanoparticles against coronavirus. This is stated on the official page of the Ministry of Health in the social network "VK"."Nanoparticles are stable for several weeks, highly effective inactivate coronavirus and have low toxicity", - says the chief researcher of MEPhI Viktor Timoshenko.
It is noted that these are porous compounds that are similar in size and structure to virus particles. Their optimal parameters were determined using a neural network that analyzed electron microscope images. Scientists have already patented the developed method.
MEPhI suggests using silicon nanoparticles in the development of new antiviral drugs and safe disinfectants.
