The Israeli company LycoRed has developed a carotenoid dietary supplement designed to protect the skin from sunburn. The creation of this drug is a significant step in the promotion of the developing direction of cosmeceutics, called "beauty from the inside".

The drug is a combination of carotenoids (precursors of vitamin A – lycopene, phytoene, phytofluene) and vitamin E, which protect the skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation.
