Putin expects a breakthrough in genetics and biomedicine from Russian scientists
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that specialists should achieve breakthrough results in the field of biomedicine and healthcare. He made such a statement during a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and priority projects.
According to the head of state, it is necessary to consider a long-term perspective and, relying on the potential of Russian science, to achieve breakthrough results in such areas as genetics, personal and biomedicine, big data processing and so on. Putin added that it is necessary to ensure the practical application of advanced developments in healthcare.
In addition, the Russian leader pointed out the importance of the development of air ambulance against the background of the scale of the country. He recalled that he formulated this task in a message to the Federal Assembly.
