The revenue of Rusnano project companies in 2012 should reach $1 billion

The income of the Rusnano design companies from the sale of nanotechnology products in 2012 should reach about $ 1 billion, the head of the state corporation Anatoly Chubais said.

"Last year, the revenue of project companies amounted to 1 billion rubles. Next year, our goal is revenue of about $1 billion. We need to grow aggressively to achieve our goal in 2015 (the market volume of nanotechnology products in Russia should be 900 billion rubles - ed.)," Chubais said at a press conference at the RIA Novosti press center in New Delhi.

He recalled that during the three years of Rusnano's existence, its supervisory board has already approved 104 projects, while 17 projects have already started production on the market.

Almost a quarter of Rusnano's projects were initiated by the state corporation's foreign partners, Chubais noted.
