The other day it became known that American doctors from the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland Clinic) conducted the first uterus transplant operation in the country.

On Wednesday, representatives of the clinic reported that the transplanted organ had to be removed due to complications. What kind of complications led to this outcome has not yet been reported. In the near future, doctors plan to find out the reasons for the failure in order to prevent the onset of such complications in the future.

Lindsey, who became the first American woman to undergo a uterus transplant, explained that the quick actions of doctors helped to preserve her health and life. Earlier, doctors reported that after the operation, the woman will have to spend at least a month in the hospital.

Recall that the operation took place on February 24 and was the first of ten uterine transplants that are planned to be performed at the Cleveland Clinic. 250 women were ready to become recipients.
