"The World of Biotechnology-2009"

The fifth Moscow International Congress "Biotechnology: state and prospects of development" and the specialized exhibition "World of Biotechnology-2009" will be held in the capital from March 16 to 20, a source in the city administration told RIA Novosti.

"It was decided to hold the congress and exhibition in order to implement a unified state policy in preserving and developing the scientific potential of the city, increasing the investment attractiveness of the capital as a high–tech center," the agency interlocutor said.

According to him, the whole range of bio-products for the food and pharmaceutical industry, agro-industrial complex, veterinary medicine, geology, industrial enterprises, as well as bio-agents for environmental protection and restoration will be presented at these events. In particular, visitors will be able to see test systems for determining the quality and biological activity of water, alcohol and narcotic substances.

Among the participants of the exhibition "World of Biotechnology" a competition will be held for the best products presented at the show.
