FarmvestnikThe Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) supports the prohibition of advertising of medicines and biologically active additives in the media, Chairman of the committee Alexey Kostusev said during a round table in Kiev.

"We will seek to prohibit advertising of medicines and biological additives in the media at the legislative level," Kostusev said. He said that the AMCU plans to hold hearings on the problem of unfair advertising of medicines and biological additives.

According to A.Kostusev, due to unfair advertising, people not only lose money, "but also their lives." He noted that today the committee holds separate hearings in each particular hearing and feels "furious resistance" from manufacturers. Therefore, the official believes, this problem needs to be solved on a national scale, writes UNIAN.
