Will we collect a billion in small change for children with cancer?

In Russia, they collect "A billion in small change" to help children
Viktor Kuzmin, Kaluga CrossroadsThe campaign "Billion in small change" is being held in Russia for the first time and provides for the collection of 1 billion rubles in the form of voluntary donations for the purchase of expensive medicines, endoprostheses for children with cancer, to pay for bone marrow and stem cell transplants.

The peculiarity of the charity SMS campaign is that all the money (minus the mandatory VAT) will be fully used for the stated purposes. This was made possible thanks to the persistence in achieving the good goal of the organizer of the action – the Union of Charitable Organizations of Russia (COLLECTION) and the sincere desire of MegaFon to help in the implementation of the charity event. The costs of technical support of the campaign throughout the entire period of its holding were borne by MegaFon.

The President of the collection, Pyotr Ishchenko, hopes that the SMS campaign will become an effective tool for raising funds to help children suffering from cancer. To date, 60 million rubles have already been collected within the framework of the charity program "Billion in small change", dozens of children have been saved from imminent death.
The essence of the campaign is simple: any MegaFon subscriber can help Russian children with cancer by sending an SMS to the number 5035.

The cost of one SMS within the framework of a charity SMS campaign is 20 rubles (including VAT). It is this amount after each message sent that will be debited from the donor's account and, net of taxes, will be credited to the account of children being treated at the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center. 20 rubles is not a very large amount for each of us. But these 20 rubles will help save the life of a sick child. A child whose future depends on us.

Reports on the receipt and expenditure of donations received during the SMS campaign can be viewed on the collection website.
