The rating includes 20 projects from the field of information technology, 10 startups from the Hi-Tech industry, 10 companies of biotechnological and medical orientation and 10 startups of an "ecological" profile. The selection of the 50 best startups was carried out by an expert jury of top managers and founders of the largest successful Russian companies. The top 50 was announced on the evening of December 8 (you can get acquainted with the projects of all the winners of the rating – VM).
The method of early diagnosis of cancer, developed by the company "Epidzhin", is based on the analysis of a DNA molecule. The enzyme synthesized by the company makes it possible to find failures in the activity of genes responsible for suppressing tumor formation with high accuracy. The developed technology makes it possible to diagnose cancer within 4-6 hours on standard PCR analysis equipment, which is available in most state clinics; regular medical personnel will be able to conduct the study. The technology is included in the federal target program in the direction of "Life Science". The test system was presented at the international forum "Open Innovations" and at the largest medical exhibition Medica in Germany.

"Now we are testing markers for colorectal cancer on clinical samples. In 2015, with the attraction of a new round of funding, we will be able to work with three more types of cancer – breast, stomach and lung cancer. The project is developing as planned," Evgeny Dubinin, director of the Epidzhin company, told about the current state of the startup.
It takes about three years for the test system to enter the market. According to forecasts, the cost of the test for the consumer will be no more than 2000 rubles.
