Double breast augmentation: beauty requires sacrifice

The procedure, developed by specialists of the Back Bay Plastic Surgery clinic (Boston, Massachusetts) under the guidance of Dr. Daniel Alexander Del Vecchio, is based on a previously developed technique for increasing the size and improving the shape of the breast or restoring the mammary glands after mastectomy using cells of their own adipose tissue obtained by liposuction from the hips or other body parts.

The improved procedure includes a pretreatment stage lasting several weeks, during which negative pressure is gently applied to the patient's chest with the help of a special device.

It looks creepy, but we warned: beauty requires...

This procedure leads to a gradual increase in the internal "empty" breast volume, which is subsequently filled with an emulsion of adipose tissue cells obtained by liposuction. The operation for their introduction lasts about 2 hours.

The procedure was successfully performed on 25 women. Some of them wanted to increase the size of the mammary glands or replace implants, others applied for the correction of various breast deformities. On average, about 300 ml of emulsion was injected into the breast of the patient.

Six months after the operation, the women had a significant improvement in the shape and size of the breast. On average, the volume of the mammary glands doubled, while they were soft and natural to the touch.

The operation was performed according to the so–called "1-2-3" rule: if you, "1", want to have "2" - 2 times more (the final result, after six months, is shown in the middle picture), then first you need to do "3" – 3 times more, as in the picture on the right. This is how the patient's breasts looked right after the vacuum pumps were removed from her, which she carried for several weeks after cell transplantation in pursuit of beauty.

Magnetic resonance imaging did not reveal cysts, seals and other anomalies, although further studies are needed to assess the long-term results of the procedure and aspects of its safety. Experts note that it is currently unknown whether the implanted adipose tissue will affect the results of mammographic screening for breast cancer.
