Generals – they are also generals in England

Is it time for cyborgs?

Dmitry Poltavsky, BBCThe Daily Mail, referring to the recent report of the Ministry of Defense "Global Strategic trends for the period up to 2040", tells what the servicemen of Her Majesty's army will soon turn into.

"British soldiers will be able to lift huge loads, run at high speed for incredibly long distances, infrared night vision will be built into their brains, with the help of electronics they will even be able to transmit thoughts at a distance," the publication reports.

The report of the Ministry of Defense, according to the Daily Mail, also claims that wounds on the bodies of such soldiers, thanks to the latest achievements of regenerative medicine, bioengineering and the introduction of artificial immune systems, will heal and completely heal themselves.

"All this sounds too fantastic to be true, but in fact some of these extraordinary predictions are already becoming reality today," the newspaper writes.

For example, an exoskeleton robot developed by the American corporation Lockheed Martin, which allows carrying heavy loads, has been tested in combat operations in Afghanistan.

According to the Daily Mail, the prototype of super-vision, which is supposed to be possessed by soldiers of the future, was created during an operation by British surgeons who managed to partially restore vision to a blind Paralympian using microchips with photosensitive cells implanted in the retina of the eyes.

"Experiments in the United States have shown that implantation technology can give soldiers with normal vision incredible super senses, such as night vision or the ability to see magnetic fields," the publication continues.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the military is also showing great interest in creating artificial universal blood, which can be stored for years without problems and which is suitable for anyone.

The closest to the realization of this idea came British scientists from the University of Sheffield, who managed to create "plastic blood". According to the newspaper, this blood "mimics red blood cells and can be successfully transfused by 98% of patients."

According to the Daily Mail, artificial blood can also be used to increase the ability of natural blood to saturate tissues with oxygen and nutrients, which dramatically increases muscle strength and increases the efficiency of the brain.

Telepathy may also become a reality in the coming years – a prototype device for transmitting thoughts at a distance was designed and tested on rats by American scientists.

"The consequences for the military will be simply exceptional. If commanders can give orders to their units with the power of thought, without using radio communication, this will give the military a serious tactical advantage over the enemy," the Daily Mail reports.
