Achievements of clinical pharmacology in Russia

On September 7-8, 2009, Moscow will host the Second Scientific and practical conference with international participation "Achievements of Clinical Pharmacology in Russia", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the organization of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the I.M. Sechenov MMA. The Organizing Committee of the conference is headed by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.G. Kukes. The event is included in the work plan of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the I.M. Sechenov MMA, the Federal Service for Supervision of Healthcare and Social Development for the current year.

The conference will discuss issues of clinical pharmacokinetics and biotransformation of medicines, clinical pharmacogenetics, drug safety and pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics, problems of conducting clinical trials in the CIS countries, harmonization of regulatory aspects of drug circulation, ethical aspects of clinical research, etc.

Taking into account the importance of the role of clinical research and pharmacoeconomics, specialists-clinical pharmacologists, doctors, pharmacists, heads of medical and preventive institutions from all regions of the country, specialists of educational and scientific institutions are invited to the conference.
