We invite you to take part in the International Exhibition and Conference of Innovative Solutions for Reproduction, Functioning and Expedient Development of Living Organisms and their Habitat "BIOINDUSTRY", which will be held from May 17 to 19, 2011 at the address: 199106, St. Petersburg, Bolshoy Prospekt V.O., 103, Lenexpo Exhibition Complex.

The general idea of the congress and exhibition project "Bioindustry": the development of the biosphere as a comfortable human habitat.
The purpose of the congress and exhibition project "Bioindustry" is to promote:
- creation and accelerated commercialization of innovative solutions for the development of the biosphere and the optimal use of renewable bioresources;
- formation of bioeconomics as a system of ensuring a stable balance of biological, economic and social factors of biosphere development;
- the formation of the bioindustry as a sphere of business activity in the bioeconomical field.
The theme of the exhibition is extremely relevant. Biotechnology is currently one of the main scientific and practical directions of the XXI century, determining the level of world civilization. The role of biotechnology in solving global problems of mankind is steadily increasing: food security, fundamental improvement of medicine, prevention of habitat degradation and global climate change, mitigation of the crisis of non-renewable resources, etc. The products obtained through the use of biotechnology are intended for almost all sectors of the economy, primarily agriculture and fish farming, food, forestry and pulp and paper industry, medicine, pharmaceuticals, etc. At the same time, it is being formed in the world (and has already been formed in a number of countries) an independent economic branch is the bioindustry.
The conference will have specialized sections to discuss the most important problems of the development and commercialization of biotechnologies in various economic sectors.
In connection with the announcement of 2011 as the International Year of the Forest, a special block of events will be devoted to the use of biotechnologies in forestry.
We invite state institutions, commercial firms of various forms of ownership, public organizations and non-profit partnerships to participate,
- carrying out biotechnological, bioengineering developments and implementing them in order to develop the resources of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere, environmental protection, protection and restoration of flora and fauna, effective use of bioclimate, development of healthcare, agriculture and food industry;
- developing and manufacturing equipment for laboratory research and biocomplexes;
- providing information support, modeling and design in the biotechnology industry;
- contributing to the development of the infrastructure of the biotechnological market and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements of the bioindustry.
