Biotechnology 2008
The Ministry of Industry and Science of the Ministry of Defense and the International Center for Technological Cooperation (ICTC) invite you to take part in the conference "Biotechnology 2008", which will be held on October 30, 2008 in the science city of Pushchino. The conference is devoted to the discussion of topical issues of the introduction of scientific achievements in the field of biotechnology into the production practice of the Moscow region.
The Moscow region has one of the most powerful scientific and industrial potentials of the country: 7 out of 12 science cities of the Russian Federation are located in the region, a special economic zone Dubna has been created, about 190 large scientific organizations work in the Moscow region, 10% of the country's scientists work. Enterprises and organizations of the Moscow region carry out their activities in more than 80 different scientific and technical directions.
Currently, an urgent problem is the organization of an effective infrastructure and support for innovation activities in the Moscow region. The conference "Biotechnology 2008", initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Science of the Ministry of Defense, is dedicated to discussing problems and finding ways to solve them by the innovative community of the region.
Within the framework of these events, an extensive business program will be organized: exhibition expositions of enterprises and organizations, round tables, seminars on topical issues of supporting innovation in the region, presentation sessions of innovative projects on the subject of conferences.

The organization of the conference is entrusted to the ICTC. The Organizing Committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Science of the Government of the Moscow Region Kiselyov Nikolay Nikolaevich as a part of representatives of science cities and large scientific and production biotechnological centers, heads of enterprises and organizations of the region, educational institutions, media representatives.
The working day of the Conference opens with a plenary session, after which sectional hearings of reports begin.
