The experts of the forum were Ambassador of Singularity University in Russia Evgeny Kuznetsov, Regional Director for Europe of ADD Abbott Laboratories Varlas Kostas, founder and CEO of INVITRO Alexander Ostrovsky, Director of External Relations, Head of Philips Research in Russia and the CIS Nazim Turdumambetov, Professor of the School of Systems Biology at George Mason University (USA) Ancha Baranova, Chairman of the Management Board of the group LDC MIBS Arkady Stolpner, editor-in-chief of the TV channel "Doctor" Evelina Zakamskaya, CEO of the holding "FestMediaInvest" Fedor Shcherbakov and many other guests.

Special attention was paid at the conference to the processing and storage of a large amount of information. Big data allows you to make diagnoses more accurate, check medical data without loading doctors, as well as integrate the results of studies performed on different devices into a common system. But experts warn: big data is a big responsibility.

"Now we have huge amounts of information in our hands, but the more of it, the harder it is to make decisions. The information should be meaningful and sufficient," says Alexander Ostrovsky, founder and CEO of INVITRO

The development of artificial intelligence was paid attention to by the Director of External Relations, the head of Philips Research in Russia and CIS Nazim Turdumambetov. Machine learning techniques are already being actively used in medicine. Artificial intelligence developed by IT companies in the field of medicine will have to help doctors in analyzing big data, monitoring both individual patients and entire social groups. Supercomputers are also involved in the development of medicines.

– And yet, there is no question of a complete replacement of doctors with robots, the decision is still made by a person, - he said Nazim Turdumambetov. – And all the talk about artificial intelligence getting out of human control remains just fantasies. Today, for example, the cognitive abilities of artificial intelligence on the most powerful computer are equal to the abilities of the brain of a three-year-old child.

And Ancha Baranova, Director of Science of the Atlas biomedical Holding, chief researcher of the Medical and Genetic Research Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, professor of the School of Systems Biology at George Mason University (USA), told about the first steps of personalized medicine: "Medicine of the future is when a young person passes tests for predisposition to certain diseases, the data obtained are used to compile patient's passports. In the future, a person is regularly monitored and, if the doctor sees deviations from his individual indicators, he prescribes either preventive measures or treatment. Moreover, the treatment will be individual, which means it will be as effective as possible."

This approach will be beneficial both to the patient, who can either prevent the disease or successfully cure it, and to the doctor, who will have much more opportunities and free time.

A new paradigm of medical media was also discussed at the conference. Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Laveikin shared how biomedical experiments take place in orbit, and the conference ended with the premiere of the production "CRYO", based on the story of the best science fiction writer in Europe 2018, Anna Starobinets.

"This is the third time we have been general partners of the Future of Medicine conference and every year we see the growing value of high-quality business communication and discussion of not only pressing problems, but also those that lie ahead. INVITRO never followed the market and trends, but formed, created and developed the market. This conference is a great way to talk about the future with leading experts from different fields," shared Anton Bulanov, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at INVITRO.

"The modern healthcare system is rapidly developing thanks to high technologies. It is important for doctors, heads of medical institutions and industry representatives to exchange experience in the direction of personalized medicine and current health challenges in Russia. This is largely facilitated by the holding of such scientific and practical conferences as Futuremed," notes Nazim Turdumambetov, Director of External Relations, Head of Philips Research in Russia and the CIS. "Most recently, we have published new data from the annual Philips Health Index of the Future study. According to his conclusions, the integration of digital solutions into the work of clinics will contribute to the transition of countries to a value-oriented model of medicine. We are glad that we can present our vision of the future of healthcare and share the experience of the Philips research laboratory in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning for solving medical problems," shared the Director of External Relations, Head of Philips Research in Russia and CIS Nazim Turdumambetov.

Earlier it became known that the Government has already approved the concept of personalized medicine. "The approved concept of predictive, preventive and personalized medicine establishes promising directions for reforming the model of medical care, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient. I would like to emphasize the importance of personalizing the work of healthcare – the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as the development of personalized drugs for treatment," Dmitry Medvedev said in the published article "Russia–2024: Strategy of socio-economic Development" in the journal "Issues of Economics".
