"Scientific Cafe": a new format of communication of young specialists with leading scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs

Press-release.ruOn May 29, 2012, at 18.00, the Royal Bar restaurant will launch a series of unique events organized by the Department of Science, Industry, Politics and Entrepreneurship of Moscow – "Scientific Cafe".

The main idea of the "Science Cafe" project is to create a platform for meetings of young specialists from high-tech fields with leading scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs and intensive knowledge exchange.

The first meeting within the framework of the Scientific Cafe project will be devoted to the topic: "Medicine. Development of biomedicine".

The event will be attended by the Head of the Department of Science, Industry, Politics and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow Komissarov A.G., as well as specially invited lecturers: Russian biochemist Gabibov A.G., Head of laboratories of the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Gene Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences Severinov K.V., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Academician Lukyanov S.A. and Head of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Medical Information Technologies of the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences A. Zhavoronkov.

During the first meeting, the best students and postgraduates of the strongest universities in Moscow will have the opportunity to ask questions to lecturers and discuss topical issues of biomedicine. The venue, the Royal Bar restaurant, was not chosen by chance. Unlike traditional lecture buildings, the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant is designed to promote the most comfortable and informal communication.
