Society, the State and medicine for the elderly
Dear colleagues!
The Russian Research Institute of Gerontology of Roszdrav, the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, the Department of Health of Moscow, the Central Research Institute of Gastroenterology of Moscow are holding the V Scientific and Practical Conference "Society, State and Medicine for the Elderly", which will be held on June 3-4, 2008 at the address: Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya nab., 14, Expocentre, Pavilion No. 8, conference hall (travel: metro station "Business Center", exit to Krasnopresnenskaya embankment, south entrance).

The Conference will be attended by gerontologists, chief specialists of health management bodies, general practitioners, geriatricians, chief doctors of medical and preventive institutions and other interested specialists. A specialized exhibition will be held within the framework of the conference.
The main directions of the scientific program of the Conference:
- Medical and social problems of the elderly.
- Outpatient polyclinic provision for the population of older age groups.
- Fundamental problems of gerontology.
- Longevity: biological, medical and social aspects.
- New diagnostic and rehabilitation technologies in gerontology and geriatrics. Geriatric gastroenterology.
- Pharmacotherapy of the elderly.
- Prevention of premature aging.
The reports made at the Conference will be published in a separate collection.
