BIO Formula
Opening of the Formula BIO program 2012
The Lomonosov Moscow State University Science Park together with RVC, the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow and the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University represent Russia's first accelerator of innovative projects in the field of biotechnology and medicine.
The goal of the organizers is comprehensive training and education of young specialists who are able to develop technologies and developments of Russian research teams.
A postgraduate educational program has been compiled for the accelerator with the involvement of leading Russian and foreign specialists. At the exit from the accelerator, it is planned to receive startups of a high degree of readiness, which will be potential companies participating in the cluster of biomedical technologies and will be able to independently attract the necessary funding from various sources. The best participants of the program will have the opportunity to complete an internship on the basis of a biotechnology cluster in Boston (USA).
Graduates of leading Russian biological, chemical, medical, technical and managerial universities will be able to participate in the Formula BIO program.
The training of participants will be conducted by the world's leading experts in three main areas:
- business in life sciences (entrepreneurship course),
- prospects for the development of science and technology (biotechnological course)
- leadership development (personal course).
Within the first two courses there is an additional division into three industry subgroups:
- medical instrumentation (Biomedical Device Engineering),
- pharmaceuticals (Drug Design and Delivery)
- information technologies in medicine and life sciences (Life Sciences Information Technology).
In order to become a member of the program, you must fill out an application on the FormulaBIO website. Based on the results of consideration of applications, applicants will be invited to an individual interview for enrollment in the program.
