EFKO Group has established a nomination in the field of biotechnology and genomics within the framework of GenerationS-2017
EFKO Group and RVC begin selecting projects in the framework of the nomination "Biotechnologies and Genomics in the Agro-Industrial complex" of the federal accelerator of technological startups GenerationS-2017. The winner will be able to complete an acceleration program at the EFKO Group Innovation Center and the Biryuch School of Management.
Startups in the field of biotechnological processing of secondary production products, genomics and genomic breeding of crops and animals, production of biologically active substances, probiotics, biofertilizers and biologics for plant protection, cellular and subcellular technologies in medicine and veterinary medicine, development of analysis methods will be able to compete for the nomination.
"EFKO representatives are not limited to the resources of their own R&D department and use various tools of "open innovation". The Corporation is launching a search for new developments through GenerationS for the third time. As a result of this work, EFKO has already built close cooperation with many graduates of the accelerator. I am sure that the projects of the GenerationS-2017 participants will also demonstrate great potential for implementation into the production and business processes of the corporation," said Mikhail Antonov, Deputy General Director - Director for the Development of RVC Innovation Infrastructure.

The winner will get acquainted with the production cycle of EFKO Group and will receive an individual roadmap for the development of the project, developed jointly with the managers of the innovation center "Biryuch-New Technologies". At its site, the team will finalize the business model, calculate risks and opportunities, build a sales system and prepare the product for market entry. The federal startup accelerator GenerationS-2017 is accelerating in seven areas: improving the efficiency of agriculture and solutions in the field of new medicines (Agro&MedTech); new media, fashion, design and entertainment (Creative); energy (Power&Energy); banking and financial services (FinTech); metal processing, mining equipment management and raw materials quality management (Mining&Metals); implementation of smart production and systems (TechNet); technologies developed for the civilian sphere, with prospects for use in the creation of weapons, military and special equipment (Dual Technologies).
