Competition of grants of the President of the Russian Federation for young doctors of sciences
The Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, together with the Council for Grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state Support of Young Russian Scientists and for state support of leading scientific schools, announces competitions in 2010 for the right to receive grants from the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists – doctors of sciences (competition – MD-2010). The subject of the competitions is the right to receive grants from the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young people (under 40) Russian scientists – doctors of sciences.
Grants are allocated for a 2-year period to finance the costs of conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in priority areas of development of science, technology and engineering of the Russian Federation in the following areas of knowledge:
(01) Mathematics and Mechanics.
(02) Physics and Astronomy.
(03) Chemistry, new materials and chemical technologies.
(04) Biology, agricultural sciences and technologies of living systems.
(05) Earth Sciences, Ecology and Environmental Management.
(06) Social sciences and Humanities.
(07) Medicine.
(08) Technical and engineering sciences.
(09) Information and telecommunication systems and technologies.
(10) Military and special technologies.
The amount of the grant of a young scientist – doctor of sciences is 1 million rubles per year, including payment for his work and the work of co-executors. The number of co-executors should include at least 3 young scientists, students, postgraduates. The amount of remuneration of the Doctor of Sciences and his co-executors may not exceed 600 thousand rubles per year.
The remuneration of a young scientist at the expense of a grant is carried out in excess of the salary established for a young scientist by the organization with which he is in an employment relationship.
Russian scientific and educational organizations, as well as organizations engaged in the production of scientific and technical products (regardless of departmental affiliation) and having labor relations with a young Russian scientist – doctor of sciences can participate in competitions for the right to receive grants from the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists - doctors of sciences. If a young scientist needs an additional experimental base or it is necessary to create other conditions for conducting scientific research, then, in agreement with the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, third–party organizations (hereinafter referred to as co-executors) may be involved in the work, ensuring the creation of these conditions.
The participant of the competition has the right to submit several competitive applications according to the number of young Russian scientists – doctors of sciences represented by him.
Each grant applicant has the right to participate in only one competitive application.
Instructions for preparing a competitive application for participation in competitions for the right to receive grants from the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists – candidates of sciences and young Russian scientists – doctors of sciences are posted on the websites of Rosnauki (www.fasi.gov.ru ) and the Federal State University of the RINCCE Research Institute (http://grants.extech.ru ). The tender application is submitted in printed (in two copies) and electronic forms (interactive filling). Registration and filling in the interactive application form on the website of the Federal State University Research Institute of RINCCE (http://grants.extech.ru ) are mandatory.

Competitive applications must be sent by mail (or delivered by express) in a sealed envelope marked "For the competition – Grants of the President of the Russian Federation to young Russian scientists" with the indication of the competition code (MD-2010) with the condition that they will be received by the expedition of Rosnauki no later than January 22, 2010 at the address of the organizer of the competition (125009, Moscow, Tverskaya St., 11, p. 1).
