Corridor for innovation

American-Russian Innovation Corridor
(USRIC / US-Russia Innovation Corridor)

The American Councils for International Education are opening the summer reception of applications for the American-Russian Innovation Corridor (ARIK) program. Startups interested in developing collaborative relationships and access to American profile communities are invited to submit applications.

ARIK is an American-Russian network of organizations to promote the transfer of university research to the market, support regional economic development agencies and the private sector. With the help of business trips to the United States and specialized programs, the American-Russian Innovation Corridor connects startups with university researchers, business development experts, potential partners and industrial associations.

The American-Russian Innovation Corridor opens the acceptance of applications in the period from June 1 to July 31, 2015.

Residents of university incubators, small innovative enterprises (FZ 217), university employees and students, as well as startups working closely with universities or regional economic development programs can participate in the program. Startups at different stages of development are invited to submit applications.

PHYSICAL PRESENCEServices:

  • Participation in a 2-week training program for startups and meetings with experts in Washington (DC) in the fall of 2015.;
  • Technology and market analysis (patents, market size, competitors and potential customers);
  • Payment for flights, accommodation, meals, visa support

Requirements: A startup representative should be able to travel to the USA in the fall of 2015. The contact person should be able to devote 1-2 hours a week to project development with ARIC experts before the trip.

Finalists: Up to 6 projects/startups

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATIONServices:

Individual mentoring sessions with business development experts;

  • Interactive monthly seminars with industry experts, investors and business professionals;
  • Technology and market analysis (patents, market size, competitors and potential customers)

Requirements: The contact person should be able to devote 1-2 hours a week for 6 months to the development of the project with ARIC experts (Skype, email).

Finalists: Up to 10 projects/startups

Selected participants receive services free of charge thanks to a grant from the American-Russian Foundation. ARIK does not claim a share in startups in exchange for the resources provided. Applications will be reviewed as they become available. We recommend submitting applications in English. You can apply on the website.
