GenerationS-2015: application acceptance continues
Competition for participation in the startup acceleration program GenerationS-2015
GenerationS is a federal accelerator of technology startups, during which the best projects selected based on the results of a multi–stage examination receive intensive development and broad opportunities to attract investment.
GenerationS has been held by RVC since 2013 with the support of Russian corporations, development institutions, and representatives of venture infrastructure.
GenerationS for startups is the acquisition of technology business skills, networking among corporations, investors and experts, increasing the business potential and investment attractiveness of projects.
In 2015, GenerationS is held in close cooperation with large Russian corporations that are interested in finding promising innovative technologies through the GenerationS regional partner network, which unites startup schools, business incubators, universities and other participants of the innovation ecosystem working with startups. This will allow corporations to implement pilot projects on the use of "open innovation" tools with the expert support of RVC and other market participants.
To participate in the GenerationS competition, the project team must submit an application on the website generation-startup.ru until June 30, 2015. Based on the results of the correspondence expert evaluation, projects will be selected that will be included in the Pre-Accelerator. In 2015, the acceleration within GenerationS will be carried out on six industry tracks (the track is determined when the project goes to the Pre-Accelerator):
- Smart City (Technologies for life, "smart city");
- BiotechMed (Biotechnology and Medicine);Oil&Gas (Technologies and materials in the oil and gas sector);
- Power&Energy (Modern Power Generation);
- AeroSpace (High technologies and industrial tools for the aerospace industry);
- Robotics (Automatic and robotic complexes and systems).
The pre-accelerator.
This is a general educational program in which participants receive basic knowledge in the field of technological entrepreneurship and finalize their project. The pre - accelerator takes place in 2 stages:
- Online Pre-accelerator. It includes an educational program, expert consultations and a Skype interview, which determines the projects going to the next stage.
- Offline Pre-accelerator. It includes full-time educational and expert sessions, the results of which determine the participants of Corporate accelerators.
Corporate accelerators.
These are highly specialized educational programs developed in partnership with corporations, in which mentors and experts help participants develop their projects taking into account the chosen direction.
The final and awarding of the winners.
Finalists of corporate accelerators will present their projects to experts and potential investors in the format of pitches at Demo days. The winners will be awarded in November as part of the III Moscow Corporate Venture Summit.
In 2014, 1858 projects from 13 countries and 65 regions of Russia became participants in GenerationS. Acceleration programs were conducted in four industry areas: IT, Industrial, BiotechMed, Cleantech. More than 400 Russian and international experts acted as mentors of projects, helping them to develop and find strategic partners and investors.
The prize fund of GenerationS in 2014 amounted to 5 million rubles, the value of prizes from partners – 38 million rubles.
