Acceptance of applications for GenerationS-2016 starts
RVC has announced the start of accepting applications to the federal accelerator GenerationS-2016. You can apply for participation in the largest startup accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe until October 15. The official launch of GenerationS-2016 will take place on July 7 in Moscow.
GenerationS is the largest accelerator of technological projects in Russia and Eastern Europe, the first federal platform for the creation and development of corporate acceleration tools, held by RVC since 2013. In 2015, more than 20 Russian corporations became customers and industrial partners of GenerationS, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of projects in 7 areas was carried out. 2566 applications from technology entrepreneurs from 14 countries were submitted for participation in GenerationS, 141 projects were selected by industrial partners for corporate acceleration programs, and about 60 joint projects are being worked out as a result. The value of the prizes from the GenerationS-2015 partners amounted to a record 160 million rubles.
GenerationS-2016 will retain the format of the line of corporate acceleration programs. It is assumed that some areas of acceleration will maintain continuity, while their total number will grow – in accordance with the requests of industrial partners.
Gulnara Bikkulova, Deputy General Director, Member of the Management Board of RVC: "According to the results of last year, we have recorded a high interest of Russian corporations in GenerationS, so at the moment we set ourselves the task of selecting the most active companies interested in finding projects on the open market and developing open innovation tools. We invited potential partners to participate in a campaign to find interesting projects, formulate criteria for their selection, allocate their employees for expertise and form an accelerator program together with us."
In 2015, GenerationS corporate partners were: RusHydro Group, MOESK, T Plus Group, MTS, Sberbank-Technologies, Saturn NGO, Energy Without Borders Foundation, S.P.Korolev RSC Energia, MORTON Group, ROO Russian Technical Society, JSC Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, Johnson&Johnson, Pharmcontract Group of Companies, Sibbiopharm Software and others. More than 150 state organizations and commercial companies have become members of the accelerator partner network.
In 2016, GenerationS will be held in two parallel streams: for mature projects and early-stage projects. Late–stage projects will be able to apply for participation in one of the directions of corporate acceleration GenerationS, and for early-stage projects a Pre-accelerator will be held - a training program aimed at improving the quality of projects and bringing them to the next stage of development.
The GenerationS website is open to applications from technology entrepreneurs. To become a member of the accelerator, you must complete the registration procedure.
The main stages of GenerationS-2016:
From June 7 to October 15, technological projects submit applications for participation in GenerationS on the program's website, choosing the stage of project development and one of the industry directions.
From November 2016 to July 2017, a Pre-accelerator will be held for early-stage projects, including two stages: online and offline. As part of the online program, participants will watch a series of training video lectures, finalize their projects in accordance with the knowledge gained, and receive recommendations on the formation of a business model for their project. The full-time program for the 100 best projects will allow you to take an intensive course from a series of master classes, consultations, meetings with successful entrepreneurs. It is assumed that the full-time program will also help to find mentors, in individual work with whom participants will conduct a detailed study of the business component of their projects, as well as develop prototypes of products at technologically equipped infrastructure sites, such as fabs, CMITs, etc.
From November 2016 to February 2017, GenerationS corporate acceleration programs will be held for late-stage projects, which will include: a series of seminars and master classes from industry experts, visits to the production facilities of partner corporations, meetings with successful industry entrepreneurs and investors, work with mentors, individual consultations and practical tasks. The purpose of this stage is to help teams refine their product in constant interaction with a potential customer, test the business model and prepare the project for successful market launch. At the end of each accelerator, a demo day will be held, at which projects will be presented to the investment committee and the scientific and technical council of the partner corporation, where a decision will be made on further work with each accelerator graduate project.
In March 2017, the GenerationS superfinal will be held, where a jury of representatives of partner corporations, investors, entrepreneurs and industry experts will choose the winners. They will receive prizes and the opportunity to continue working with corporate partners to introduce their developments into their production processes, present the project at the scientific and technical councils of corporations, receive a contract for the purchase or investment for the development and refinement of the product.
