Master's degree in Geneva

Grants (scholarships) 2014-2015 for Master's degree studies at the University of Geneva (Switzerland)

Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Geneva (Faculty of Science of the University of Geneva), an internationally recognized research center in astronomy, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, Earth sciences, computer science, mathematics, pharmacy and physics, invites young successful specialists to participate in a scholarship competition for master's degree in all areas represented at the faculty (Excellence Fellowship).

The selection of candidates will be based on the academic success of the applicants. Specialists with a bachelor's degree and students planning to receive a bachelor's degree in the next six months are invited to participate in the competition.

To participate in the competition, you must provide:

  • Statement.
  • CV, with a list of exams passed during the training, indicating the grades received.
  • A 2-page essay explaining the applicant's interest in the Master's degree program at the University of Geneva.
  • Letters of recommendation from 2 professors.
  • Results of GRE, TOEFL or other language tests.

The Excellence Fellowship provides a grant of 10,000 to 15,000 Swiss francs per year, which is allocated initially for one year, and then extended on a regular basis for the period necessary to complete the selected master's program (three or four semesters). The decision to extend funding is made based on the academic success of the scholarship holder at the end of the first year of study.

The nearest deadline for accepting documents for participation in the program is March 14, 2014. The corresponding Master's program starts on September 15, 2014.
