Microsoft for Doctors

Microsoft Russia announces the launch of the competition of software solutions for healthcare used in conjunction with Microsoft Office System 2007 (Microsoft Office 2007, SharePoint Server 2007, etc.). All developments that meet the conditions of the competition and certified by the expert commission will receive marketing support from Microsoft Russia and will be distributed free of charge to medical institutions of the Russian Federation.

The participants of the contest, whose software solutions will be recognized by the expert commission as the most promising and original, will be awarded with valuable prizes.

Software solutions submitted to the Microsoft4Doctors competition should ensure an increase in the efficiency of medical personnel with information systems that automate medical processes (automation of financial and economic aspects of the activities of medical institutions is less relevant, but allowed).

Software solutions submitted to the Microsoft4Doctors competition must be additions to the client and/or server components of the Microsoft Office System 2007 package. Software solutions submitted to the competition must have a license that allows free use by end users. At the same time, software solutions may have additional editions or versions, as well as services associated with them, for which a fee is charged on the terms of the owners of the corresponding software solutions. The free version may be limited in functionality, but should not be limited in duration. Installing the free version should be simple, accessible to the average user.

The participant of the contest declares the possibility of operation and technical support of its software solutions only if end users use Microsoft licensed software.

For developments that have been reviewed by the expert council and received a positive review, Microsoft Russia offers:

– Marketing support in the form of publication as part of a catalog of solutions distributed at industry exhibitions;
– Marketing support in the form of publishing solutions for Microsoft Office on the website;
– Distribution of solutions as part of a set of solutions for medical institutions of the Russian Federation;
– Valuable prizes to developers of the most promising solutions.

Developments are accepted for the competition until March 1, 2009. The final results of the competition will be announced on March 15, 2009.
